Author: Rachel Gay (she/her)

Bio: Rachel Gay is a mental health nurse with more than three decades of experience in public mental health. Her work has spanned clinical care, community outreach, homelessness support, and senior roles in quality and risk management across public mental health systems. She is known for her commitment to equity, access, and approaches that reflect the lived realities of consumers, carers, and staff.

Influenced by her own lived experience of neurodiversity and recovery, Rachel brings a compassionate, evidence-informed perspective to her writing. Her work integrates behavioural science, mindfulness, and long-term clinical observation to offer practical, humane support for real people.
